Jazz Fest closing party in Rehoboth went out with a BANG!

There is nothing quite like a jam session, and when it is with some of the best artists in the business you know it's party time and party we did!

We cut out of the grand finale event at the convention center and made our way to the Delaware Distilling Co (formely Old Bay) for more music and a chance to meet and greet with the artists.

This was the final closing party and the "unofficial" end of the jazz fest!

That is what we love about these events. If your lucky enough to get after party/ jam session tickets you have a greater chance of being up close and personal with the artists, but it also depends on the venue size and the amount of people. Fortunately this place is really not that big but just the right size where you do have a chance to meet and greet.

They are not shy or un-approachable and will mingle with the crowd of party goers! Saxophonist-Elan Trotman and Trumpeter-Joey Sommerville did a great job getting the crowd off their feet and grooving to the music.

These guys may have been tired from earlier at the grand finale concert but, you couldn't tell by the energy they had. Alex Bugnon and Marion Meadows got in on a piece of the action and partied with us with their smooth and electrifying sounds.

Four80east (noodle soup) are an awesome band and together with guitarist Matt Marshak, and drummer Carl C-man Anderson the place was on fire! If you don't know who they are, do yourself a favor and Google them, you'll be so glad you did.

A few hours into the night, people were out of their seats. The music was loud and good. I actually felt like I was part of the band, Lol!. Our seats were directly next to the them and I was standing, bouncing and clapping along with the crowd. I was literally next to the drum/percussion player grooving right along with him. It was so much fun.

As much as we hated to leave we were exhausted and were leaving for home the next day, so we needed to pack. What a grand way to end our evening and long weekend.

Stay tuned for more on the local entertainment highlights as well.  Have you ever attended a jam session? If so, who did you see?
